The new Pollution Probe Environmental and Sustainable Development Award will be presented to His Excellency The Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, at the "Catalysts of Innovation" gala ceremony at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, in Toronto on November 23, 2011.

As a Canadian and Britsh Expat I am very honored to be one of the fifteen invited artists taking part in this year's CHASE Art Exhibition at the Royal College of Art in London, England on Thursday November 10th, 2011.

Now in its 12th year, the event raises in one evening, close to £100,000 for the CHASE children's hospice in Guildford, Surrey, who do tremendous work in supporting children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday. It is entirely privately funded and receives no government support so I am delighted to support such a worthwhile cause.

The GLASSLANDS Collection is a proposed 10 piece outdoor art collection of sculptures made from optical crystal and reclaimed glass which will communicate the stepping stones for greater sustainability and was inspired from a visit to Reford Gardens in Metis sur Mer, Quebec this summer.

"The focus of my art is to illuminate and refract the complex issues that challenge humanity.

To do this I have formulated a language, CRYSTALLIZATIONS, for my work to communicate messages which affect us all. The three areas of interest are connected like stepping stones. Each is relevant to the other in that they all address aspects of humanity but they are also connected in how one leads to the other.
