Project HUMANITY - FROM THE DARK TO THE LIGHT

 

is a unique global crystal art and multi-media initiative focused on the issues of genocide, and the actions for humankind to fight hatred, discrimination and prejudice in all its forms.

Taking over 2 years to create, the collection will become a touring exhibit and legacy for future generations to better understand mans inhumanity throughout history, and to celebrate our differences and shared humanity.

"Over the past few weeks I have begun exploring the technical exhibition components and staging for Project HUMANITY - FROM THE DARK TO THE LIGHT to maximize the synesthetic human experience.

The word Maquette is a French word for scale model, and is sometimes referred to in Italian name plastico or modello, as a scale model or rough draft of an architectural work or sculpture.
I find this physical realization an important part of the creative process to develop shapes and ideas.

A SYMBOL FOR ALL HUMANITY

"When I first began designing the Project HUMANITY - FROM THE DARK TO THE LIGHT logo symbol, I began to study for inspiration early cave man drawings from East Africa where homo-sapien first emerged on earth some 200,000 years ago.

Specifically designed to be a non-political and non-religious symbol, the open armed figure
embraces a world encircled with wisdom, enlightenment, and diversity.

“I have been passionately developing Project HUMANITY - FROM THE DARK TO THE LIGHT over the past 16 months as an inclusive experience for all of humankind to better understand our shared humanity. To do this we need to recognize humankind's own history on the planet where in the last century alone over 45 genocides occured claiming a staggering total of 132 million lives.

A crystal crystal sculpture requiring over 300 hours to create might sound arduous at best, especially given the impatient world we live in these days. However for most artist's, we crave these quiet intimate moments bonded to our work to simply experience the oneness of the creative process.
